How to Virally Market a Movie

The viral marketing campaign for "The Last Exorcism" is sure to bring a measure of sick satisfaction to those who have dared enter the world of Chat Roulette. The video chat service has a reputation -- and an accurate one, I might add -- for consisting mostly of boys and men pleasuring themselves in extreme close-up before their web cam and/or looking for women who might be coaxed into flashing their breasts.

Mind Daddy

Large Image

With all of the wild stuff that people like me propagate about mind control one of the most bizarre is the whole area of trauma based mind control.

This is where severe abuse, torture and mind games are used to break a persons ability to resist. When it's  done at an early enough age (aka child abuse) it can break up the personality into parts, each part having it's own purpose and function.

The book "Mind Daddy" by TJ Griffith is a gruesome first person account of exactly how it's done and the life long effects it can have as the child grows.

The good news is that recovery is possible.

I personally was approached by TJ Griffith because of my knowledge of mind control and, from the emails she has sent me,  I believe that it's true.

I'm offering this book as my own personal recommendation.

How to say nothing well

Have you ever been in an angry one-sided conversation where anything you say is either ignored or escalates the anger?

What do you do?

The first thing you can do is walk away or go on a counter attack but those responses are primitive "fight or flight" responses.

The question comes to mind is how can you respond in any way that is NOT a fight or flight response?

The answer I came up with is what I call "non-defensive acknowledgment" which is any reply that is allows the other person to feel as though you're listening yet reveals nothing of your inner emotional state.

Here are a few of them that I've come up with. They should all be accompanied with eye contact and head nod even if you're being insulted.
  • a head nod
  • "I see!"
  • "Hmmmmm"
  • "I understand what you are say."
  •  "That's the ticket."
  • "Jeeze!"
  • ""Really?"
  • "Ahhh."
  • "Well! There you go."
  • "That's the question"
When in a heated exchange the goal of this process is to have the other person end the process or "burn out" while you remain calm, detached and unable to provoke.

The thing I LOVE about this strategy is that it elevates you and your responses above how all the primates reactions.

There is a mental shift that happens when you perform this well. The shift is in realizing that you are thinking in ways that other people normally cannot or will not consider.  You have just gone "up a level" in thinking which means that not only do you have more options, you also have a new way of looking at people, words and conflict.

If you've tried this I would LOVE to hear your results so, please, add them to the comments of this post.

Is Oprah Winfree a Mind Control Slave

The most amusing thing about this article is that it quotes *ME* on this blog quoting someone else.... and doing what conspiracy crazies do, which is not find the original quote.
~ Dantalion Jones
Orginally From:
http://www.moneyteachers.org/Oprah.htm

In light of the new "Kitty Kelly" and other allegations about Oprah Winfrey, which include the following:

1. Oprah was sexually abused as a child.
2. Her real father is "unknown".
3. She was a teenage prostitute
4. She is reportedly "bi-sexual"

All of which could indicate that she is a programmed multiple created through MK-Ultra type Programming. Creating Sexual "Mind-Slaves" are one of the programs objectives. These individuals can then be used to "compromise" public figures and then blackmailing them afterwards. Sex Slaves are also programmed as "Secret Keepers", assassins and espionage agents.

If Oprah is not a Programmed, MK-Ultra Multiple, she can be surely be viewed as a proponent of the program's methodology. Her support and adherence to books like "A Course in Miracles", which was written by a CIA operative heavily involved in "Project Bluebird", MK-Ultra's predecessor, cannot help but raise more than a few eyebrows. I quote the following:

"A Course in Miracles has an interesting history and it all started when Dr. Helen Schucman, a non-religious Jew began working with Dr. William Thetford in 1958. It seems Dr. Thetford had ties with the CIA and was working on Project BLUEBIRD, which was later rolled over into the MK ULTRA Project. MK ULTRA was a program focused on mind control, it was created in the 1950s by the CIA with the goal to learn ways to manipulate people’s mental states, alter brain function and create Manchurian Candidates often through the use of drugs and hypnosis. Under the MK ULTRA umbrella there were over a hundred sub projects from the 1950s well into the 1970s and Thetford worked on Personality Theory, subproject 130." (source)

Schucman was employed at Columbia University with Thetford as a research psychologist for seven years without incident, but then one night on the subway she had a vision. A beautiful light filled the subway car and upon arriving home, the quiet voice, claiming to be Jesus, spoke to her for the first time. Soon, she and Thetford, a relationship that had always been strained according to reports, developed a close partnership while transcribing what this voice relayed. It’s an interesting coincidence that while working with Thetford, Schucman, a spiritual skeptic and scientist, had such an amazing transformation of spirit and mind.

Father Groeschel met Schucman at Columbia University while she was scribing the Course and he was writing his dissertation on the relationship between science and theology, he found her to be witty, engaging and a stimulating conversationalist. "Helen was a very scientific lady," he recalled, "a Jewish intellectual who considered herself to be an extreme agnostic, though not quite an atheist, and very skeptical about everything having to do with religion or spirituality." Groeschel also found Schucman to be an enigma, while writing the Course, she spent a lot of time in the Catholic Church, but refused to join, stating that as a Jew and a former Catholic "you Gentiles came along and made all these rules." He was confused by her reactions to writing A Course in Miracles, as she would often state, “I hate that damn book.” The Making Of A Course In Miracles

Groeschel also knew Thetford during his time at Columbia University and described him as "probably the most sinister person I ever met" and "the most religious atheist I have ever known.” Groeschel stated that Thetford was very excited about A Course in Miracles and personally arranged for its publication. It seems Thetford was quite a mystery at the University and none of his colleagues knew, until after he retired, that he had also been working for the CIA during his employment. (Ibid.)

So there you have it, Oprah's Bible was a creation of the Intelligence Community and designed to undermine the foundations of Christianity with the following teachings:

The fundamental principle of A Course in Miracles is the Atonement principle. The Atonement principle states that the separation from God did not happen.

  • There is no world
  • God did not create the world
  • The world was made as an attack on God
  • The body was made as a limitation on love

Minds are joined; bodies are not

The theology of A Course in Miracles is non-dualistic; that is, there is no subject-object dichotomy in the Godhead; there is no consciousness in Heaven, truth or reality.

The philosophy of "A Course in Miracles is a modern form of Platonism that teaches the difference between shadows and truth, appearance and reality. (Source)

It seems pretty clear that this book is an advocate of both Luciferianism and Gnosticism. More sinister, when one takes into account the fact that Satanist Aleister Crowley is the founder of the modern Gnostic Church. The fact that Oprah promotes this rubbish seems to indicate that she is a willing tool being used by Western Intelligence to forward the Illuminati Agenda.

This is an email I received from one customer who just recently bought it:

"This, by far is one of the BEST effects I have EVER seen. It's extremely easy to do, beautiful and people by in to it so EASILY! (i suppose that's thanks to the lie to me season lol) either way..
Thank you dude...keep up the good work. I remember watching it once.. went up to my brother told him I saw Derren Brown do this and i figured it out! He bought it! Next thing i know.... Poker Face Lie Detection

I hope you enjoyed The Mind Reader's gift...I sure have been using it lately!

Have you been able to successfully detect someones lie yet?

If you have been able...AWESOME!

If not, there's no need to worry...

Most of the time, I pretend to be able to know when someone is lying or not. It's the same with reading minds.

Although these NLP and psychological theories are not entirely 100% accurate, mentalism allows us to model the same effect using trickery as a method rather than controversial science that has not been proven to work all the time. Can we really read minds? Bend metal or predict what word a spectator will choose in a book? The answer is NO. But we can create the same effect.

Since I last emailed you (with the secret to detecting lies through NLP) I've had so many people asking me whether or not there is a 100% guaranteed way of detecting lies and what tricks can be used with it.

Well, the truth is...it's not possible unless you study and train for many many years...and that is why mentalists create tricks that replicate the same effect. To the spectator there is no difference between the real thing and the trick if the effect is the same. Think about that....

So as you can see we could create the same lie routine or similar using trickery. AND the good news is it has been done for you!

I thought, why not teach you one of my favorite routines. I use this one all the time, but it isn't actually available to the public. It's a video created by The Mind Reader and luckily he's allowed me to share it with you.

He's given an exclusive offer to friends of mine...lucky for you! But this offer won't last long..in fact I think he's even taking down the entire website soon!

So hurry before you miss out...

So if you want a 100% - simple and impromptu way of detecting someones
lie - this is it. This trick has been a personal favorite. I use it to seemingly
detect lies and read body language. Personally, I get amazing reactions with
this trick. That's why I like it so much...Check it out HERE.

Enough Information to Justify Paranoia

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-20012704-56.html

TRUCKEE, Calif.--For those concerned with privacy, Google CEO Eric Schmidt gave them a few more things to start worrying about.

At a conference here Wednesday, Schmidt noted that using artificial intelligence, computers can take 14 pictures of anyone on the Internet and stand a good chance of identifying that person. Similarly, the data collected by location-based services can be used not only to show where someone is at, but to also predict with a lot of accuracy where they might be headed next.

"Pretty interesting," Schmidt said. "Good idea, Bad idea?...The technology of course is neutral but society is not fundamentally ready."

His comments came at the start of Techonomy, a new conference devoted to looking at how technology is changing and can change society.

Schmidt said that society really isn't prepared for all of the changes being thrust upon it. "I think it's time for people to get ready for it."

Schmidt said these records are a challenge for everyone, himself included, as he noted he was a child of the 1960s.

"Raise your hand if you were a well-behaved teenager," Schmidt said, drawing few if any hands from the high-powered crowd.

Techonomy, which runs through Friday, is the brainchild of ex-Fortune staffers Brent Schlender, David Kirkpatrick, and Peter Petre. Other speakers include Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates and Sun co-founder Bill Joy.

Schlender said that the conference organizers remain fundamentally optimistic, a point echoed by Petre.

"We invent our way out of problems, even the problems we create," Petre said. "This is the truth we need to show to our children and their children."

Schmidt said he sees a balance eventually coming with society and governments coming to terms on how to regulate the collection of information. The end result, he said, will be that computers will be able to do what they are good at--store and recall information, while humans focus on intuition and problem solving.

"That separation of power is a reasonable one," he said.

On balance, Schmidt said that technology is good, but he said that the only way to manage the challenges is "much greater transparency and no anonymity."

Schmidt said that in an era of asymmetric threats, "true anonymity is too dangerous."

Neuromarketing: Mind Control or Breakthrough Marketing?

I love this article because it exploits SCIENCE and testing to really see what people respond to. No more guess or speculating but proven in the measurements.
~  Dantalion Jones

Can marketers develop better products, advertising, or marketing messages by analyzing people’s cognitive, sensorimotor and affective responses to marketing stimuli? Proponents of Neuromarketing, an emerging field that mixes cognitive science and marketing, thinks so. In Neuromarketing, researchers use a variety of measurement tools (MRI, EEG, heart & respiratory ratse and galvanic skin responses) to measure changes in a person’ brain activity as well as physiologic states. These changes can show how different emotional states (e.g., anger, pleasure) can be generated by different external stimuli. This approach is not new. Lie detector tests use similar techniques.

Typically, marketers are keen to learn to understand how consumers respond to certain stimuli and why they make the decisions they do. Traditional measurement tools like verbal feedback is not always reliable as people often act differently than what they say or intend to do. This intent-action gap occurs when powerful yet hidden behavioral drivers – such as cognitive and social bias as well as the presence of subconscious needs – overrule conscious and rational intent. A classic example of this gap was the Pepsi-Coke marketing challenge. While most people taking the challenge consciously chose the taste of Pepsi, and those watching the ads believed that Pepsi did taste better Coke, actual consumer behavior (and market share) continued to favor Coke’s dominance.

Supporters of Neuromarketing believe they can bridge this gap and improve marketing effectiveness by understanding sub-conscious behavioral triggers and then tailoring products, images and message to what will actually stimulate particular parts of the brain. This makes Neuromarketing and its applied results a powerful tool but potentially subliminal in purpose and result.

Neuromarketing is already being used to market and design products and services. Some early applications of this science have included: analyzing the responses of viewers to television commercials and other forms of advertising; exploring the effects of looking at happy or sad facial expressions; exploring the mental states of motorists driving against a deadline and; examining how people react to an unexpected ‘freebie’ like a product sample. Outside of brand managers, political strategists and film producers are beginning to use Neuromarketing techniques to craft political imagery and slogans as well as make decisions on movie endings, character design or trailers.

On the other hand, some are skeptical of Neuromarketing’s scientific value and potential to influence consumer behavior. For example, the journal, Nature Neuroscience, said “…neuromarketing is little more than a new fad, exploited by scientists and marketing consultants to blind corporate clients with science.” Moreover, others have expressed ethical concerns around using science to seed subliminal messages in the brain in order to “prime” or create sub-conscious triggers to buy certain products or adopt certain political positions.

Contrary to the hype, the use of Neuromarketing techniques will never discover a so-called ‘buy button’ – some mythical region of the brain which need only be stimulated to compel consumers to purchase a product regardless of whether they actually want to do so. More realistically, Neuromarketing will provide commercial value by improving the identification and power of certain messages or visuals within advertisement, packaging and product design. Finally, a better understanding of how the brain works is of benefit to cognitive scientists and society in addition to marketers.

Thanks for reading.

50 Meditation & Mind Control Techniques for Weight Loss

Here are 50 tips to help you learn some tricks to get your mind ripe and ready for weight loss.

General

These general tips will help you learn to adapt your thoughts to healthy weight loss.

1. Be patient. Losing weight in any kind of healthy way is going to take time. Give yourself a break and relax, and the weight will come off.
2. Don't stress. Stressing about weight loss will likely only make it harder to lose.
3. Be realistic Setting unrealistic goals for your weight loss isn't healthy for your body or mind. Get your mind set on more realistic accomplishments and you'll be happier and healthier.
4. Create a routine. Success with any weight loss program requires creating a routine and sticking to it in what you eat, when you work out and how you think about your progress.
5. Listen to your body. It will tell you when you aren't eating enough, you're eating too much, or you're pushing yourself too hard.
6. Use your imagination. Our imaginations are powerful things and you can use yours to picture your body and your life the way you really want it to be.
7. Take it slow. You cannot expect to change your mindset or your body overnight. Take the process slow and steady for the best results.
8. Be honest with yourself. Being honest might be more difficult or more painful, but you cannot move forward in changing your body or how you think about it without facing some hard truths about yourself.
9. Find out what you truly want. The reality is that you might not be ready to lose weight or commit yourself to the work that it takes. Find out what you truly want in your life. Knowing that you really, really want to lose weight can be a huge factor in motivating you.

Mindset

Learn how to change your mindset with these tips.

10. Always be accountable. There is no one else who is responsible for you losing weight. You have to be accountable for what you eat and how often you work out.
11. Break the cycle of excuses. We all make excuses to try to justify our behavior, but these kinds of excuses aren't doing you any favors when it comes to weight loss. Force yourself to accept your failures and work to improve them.
12. Deal with your emotions. For many people, food is an emotional thing and a coping mechanism for other things that aren't right in their lives. If you want to change your mindset about your body, you'll first have to deal with these powerful emotions.
13. Make the decision to be thinner. Sometimes all it takes is a firm resolution to make a change in your life. If you want to lose weight, make the choice to do so and let your actions follow suit.
14. Take responsibility. No one is forcing food down your throat or keeping you from the gym. Once you realize that and can take responsibility for your own actions regarding your health and fitness, you'll be one step closer to meeting your goals.
15. Think clearly. Weight loss, body image and personal health can be emotionally charged issues. When you think about these things it it important to separate them as best you can from your emotions and make logical, thoughtful decisions about what is best. For instance, our emotions might tell us we need a piece of cake after a hard day, but our logical thinking would tell us it will only make you feel worse about yourself.
16. Change your programming. Many of us have programmed our brains to think we are fat, unhealthy and will never look or feel like we want to. Thinking this way is often a self-fulfilling prophecy, but by changing your mental programming, you'll change what you're capable of in weight loss.
17. Stay positive. There is no upside to negative thinking when it comes to losing weight. Staying positive will help you feel better about yourself, keep you motivated and reduce stress — all of which will help you lose more weight.
18. Train your mind to think in your best interest. If you want to lose weight, focus on replacing your unhealthy thoughts with healthy ones. After a while, you will think less unhealthy thoughts and be a step ahead in reaching your goals.

Motivation

Give your mind some motivation with these ideas.

19. Pick out a motivational photograph. Whether you want to look more like you did 20 years ago or have the physique of someone else you admire, choose a photograph you can look at when you're struggling to help keep yourself motivated.
20. Set smaller daily goals. While your larger goals are important, focusing on smaller, individual goals will give you more of a sense of accomplishment and change your mindset on a daily basis.
21. Use support from friends. There are few things that can change how you feel about yourself and your progress like motivation from friends around you.
22. Reward yourself. When you've worked really hard for something it's only fair to reward yourself. Give yourself an indulgence, though not a food-related one, that you've really been wanting.
23. Tell yourself you can do it. Change your mindset about weight loss by constantly reminding yourself that no matter how hard it is that you can and will do it.
24. Never stop thinking about your goals. Keeping your goals in mind throughout the day will help motivate you and keep you on the right track.
25. Surround yourself with good role models. You won't do yourself any favors when you're trying to lose weight if you surround yourself with people who practice bad habits and influence you to do so as well. Spend time with friends who motivate you to be healthy instead.
26. Have a mantra. Finding your own personal weight loss mantra can be a great way to help keep yourself positive and focused on your goals.
27. Look at the bright side. Setbacks don't have to ruin your motivation for weight loss. Instead, think of them as a chance to work harder and prove your commitment to your goals.
28. Create a map to your health and happiness. Spending some time laying out your goals, collecting photos that motivate you, and planning out your steps along the way can help make process easier, more real and something you're more motivated to do every day.

Food

Change your relationship with food by changing your thoughts using this advice.

29. Think yourself out of bad habits. Bad habits with food don't have to take down your weight loss goals. Instead, use the power of your mind to fight these bad habits. It will take some doing but you can overcome them.
30. Look at food differently. Food isn't your enemy or your friend — it's neutral. Learn to look at food as a source of nourishment rather than a reward or a way to deal with emotions.
31. Picture what food is doing for your body. When you look at what you're eating, picture what that food can do for your body and how the nutrients will help you feel.
32. Allow yourself to eat when you're hungry. Losing weight should never mean starving yourself. Listen to your body and feed yourself when your body tells you it's hungry. Just make sure it's actually hunger and not boredom or thirst you're giving into. Likewise, stop eating when you are full.
33. Eat foods you crave. You can have foods you crave while you're trying to lose weight if you can do so in moderation. Keeping things totally off limits could cause you to binge.
34. Be conscious. Always be aware of what you're eating. Eating mindlessly while watching TV can lead to a lot of unwanted and unneeded calories.

Self-Image

How you see yourself can make a big impact in how much weight you lose. Try these solutions to feel good about yourself no matter how much you weigh.

35. Change how you think about your body. If you think you are a fat person, you'll likely stay that way. Train your mind to see yourself as attractive at any weight and you'll see more weight loss progress.
36. Get control over your thoughts. When your thoughts are out of control it's easy to think cruel things about yourself and put yourself down. When you start to feel your thoughts heading in that direction, take the wheel and steer them somewhere positive.
37. Stop looking at the numbers. Weight isn't everything when it comes to health. Some people look super skinny and feel healthy at one weight while another person might be totally different. We all have our own comfort zone, so listen to your body, not the scale.
38. Focus on how you feel. You might not have met your goal weight yet, but focusing on changes in how you feel can help keep you motivated and feeling good about yourself.
39. Stop berating yourself. Negative thoughts aren't going to help you lose weight. If you have a misstep or aren't progressing as fast as you'd like, never berate yourself. Simply get up the next day and start again from a positive standpoint.
40. Fill yourself with love. If you want to get the most out of your weight loss journey, make part of the process learning to truly love yourself. No one is perfect so get a handle on accepting and appreciating your faults.
41. Take pride in your appearance. It doesn't matter how much you weigh, you can look good and feel good about yourself. Shower, put on a fragrance, style your hair, and wear your favorite clothes. It will change how you see yourself and how others see you as well.

Meditation

Learn how to turn your meditation practice into a reflection on your personal weight loss goals with these tips.

42. Imagine yourself eating like you should be. The more you imagine it, the more likely it will become reality.
43. Picture yourself thin. If you believe that you can and will be thin, then you give yourself the motivation and drive to actually make it happen.
44. Think about activities you'll do when you're thin. If you're too overweight to do things you love right now, picture yourself doing those things as the new, thinner you.
45. Relax. You can't take control over your thoughts and your mind if you're stressed out and distracted. Simply relax and let go the problems of the day.
46. Picture yourself wearing something you've always wanted to wear. A big reason many people want to lose weight is to fit into the clothes and style that they love and admire. Get a mental picture of how you'll look sporting something you've always wanted to wear to give you some motivation.
47. Imagine that you love to exercise. Rely on the power of imagination to help give yourself the initiative you need to get fit and in shape.
48. Don't let negative thoughts interfere. It's easy to think negative thoughts about yourself when you're tackling a big and difficult obstacle like losing weight, but you have to make sure to keep these kinds of thoughts out during your meditation. Replace them with happy, supportive ones instead.
49. Kick all unhealthy habits and foods out of visualization. Don't let your mental fantasies include unhealthy foods and behaviors. You might really crave them but the purpose is to retrain your mind to let them go.
50. Breathe deeply and calm yourself. Once you're calm, relaxed, and in control of your mind and body, you'll be able to start thinking clearly about who and where you want to be.

Is Your Revival Center a Cult?

Large Image
This article asks that perpetual question "Do I give up my money and my will to better serve the will of Gawd or do I try to think for myself?"
~ Dantalion Jones

Adapted from Identifying a Cult by Jan Groenveld - Compiled by Troy Waller

If you tell a Revivalist that their group is a cult, they often reply with something along the lines of, "The Church of the apostles' day was also called a cult!" or "Jesus was called a cult leader too!" Some have heard RCI and Geelong Revival Centre pastors say something along these lines numerous times. It seems that some Revivalists think that to call the Revival Centres a cult is to align them with Jesus and the early Church.

On the other hand, some Revivalists take great offence and get most upset when you call their church a cult. They think that we are accusing them of all sorts of crimes, simply by calling them a cult. So why do we get such varied reactions when we label the Revival Centres groups as cults?

It all has to do with definitions. You see, the word ?cult', as with a lot of English words today, has a few different meanings. The word can be used in various ways in various contexts. There are three major definitions. What is a Cult?1. The Secular DefinitionCULT- From the Latin "cultis" which denotes all that is involved in worship, ritual, emotion, liturgy and attitude. This definition is not concerned with specific doctrines or behaviours but actually denotes what we call denominations and sects.

By this definition, all religious movements are cults. This is the definition that can be applied to the early Church and Jesus as its leader. Obviously this website is not concerned with the Revival Centres as denominations or sects.

2. Christian DefinitionCULT- Any group which deviates from Biblical, orthodox, historical Christianity. That is they deny things such as the Trinity, or Deity of Christ. Some deny Jesus' physical resurrection; His personal and physical return to earth or salvation by FAITH alone. This definition is concerned with the beliefs of specific groups and not so much with behaviour. This definition only covers those groups which defined as cultsdoctrinallyfrom the perspective of the Christian Church. This includes the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses. This term does not refer to other world religions such as Islam and Hinduism. We do define the Revival Centres as a cult from this perspective as they have a different view from historical Christianity on issues such as salvation and the Trinity.

3. The Modern DefinitionCULT- Any group which has a hierarchical authoritarian leadership structure with all teaching and guidance coming from the person/persons at the top. The group will claim to be the only way to God; Nirvana; Paradise; Ultimate Reality; Full Potential, Way to Happiness etc, and will use behavioural, information, thought and emotional control techniques to gain control and keep their members. This definition is concerned primarily with thebehaviourof the group in question. It covers cults within all major world religions, along with those cults which have noobviousreligious base such as commercial, educational and psychological cults. Different cults operate in different ways. For example, some are more prone to information control than emotional control or vice versa. Some cults are less extreme than others in some areas of control but these are still cults nonetheless. This website does present the RCI and its splinter groups as this kind of cult. Let's expand on this definition and see how the Revival Centres fit or don't fit this model.

Identification Marks of a Cult

(a) The group will have an elitist view of itself in relation to others, and a unique cause. (THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES RIGHT - everyone else is wrong. THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES DOING GOD'S WILL - everyone else is in apostasy. )

(b) They will promote their cause actively, and in doing so, abuse God-given personal rights and freedoms. This abuse can be SPIRITUAL, SOCIAL & PSYCHOLOGICAL.They do this through the following means,Their leader/s may claim a special, exclusive ministry, revelation or position of authority given by God.The Revival Centres believe that the Church at large (Pentecostal or otherwise) has fallen into apostasy. They openly teach that the 'truth' about salvation was re-discovered by Lloyd Longfield or Noel Hollins, (depending on which Revival Centre group you belong to) just after the World War II.

They now believe that they promote the true formula for salvation (Acts2:38as they interpret it) and those that preach salvation by faith alone are apostate. They believe they are the only true church and take a critical stance regarding the Christian church while at the same time praising and exalting their own group, leader/s and work. The Revival Centres leaders will rarely come out and say that their church is the only true church. But this is very much implied and members know that to leave the Revival Centre is to lose your salvation. Much is said in talks from the platform and in official literature which denigrates and disparages other churches, even those that believe in speaking in tongues.

They will even question the salvation of those who leave one Revival Centre splinter group for another, even though they all preach the same salvation formula. The Geelong Revival Centre members are even told that other Revival Centre groups preach a different salvation message to them. This is a blatant lie, as they all teach the same salvation formula. They use intimidation or psychological manipulation to keep members loyal to their ranks. This could be in the form of threats of dire calamity sent by God if they leave; certain death at Armageddon; being shunned by their family and friends etc.As mentioned earlier, all Revival Centre members know that to leave the Revival Centres is to lose your salvation and go to hell. Even people who leave to attend other Pentecostal Churches are said to have 'fallen away'.

The Revival Centre preoccupation with Armageddon and nuclear devastation rivals only the Jehovah's Witnesses' use of the ?imminent return of Jesus and destruction of the world' as a means to promote fear and maintain members. Some ex-members of the Revival Centres report having had terrifying nightmares of nuclear holocaust while in the group and after leaving.

The Revival Centres spread half truths and lies about those who have left even saying ex-members fall gravely ill and die. One ex-member said that he heard a pastor pronounce this upon people who had just left the church. Stories of those who fall into addictions and immoral behaviour (true or not) upon leaving the group are also lauded in front of those still in the group.

Shunning is also a common experience for those who leave. Current members are expected to discontinue relationships with ex-members. Both the RCI and RF make their position clear,MARK THEM -identify those who cause divisions and offences. The most obvious are former members who left over personal grievances. Their doctrine and practice are not what we have learned from our Bibles. Identify them - don't be sentimental about old fellowships. (Separation- The Revival Fellowship)16. Any member who has been "disciplined" by the oversight should not be "comforted" by well-meaning friends. This can encourage rebellion and could result in disaster for those concerned. Any member who has been permanently or temporarily "de-barred" from fellowship should not be visited without permission from the oversight. It is most important that their "case" should not be discussed with them or with others. If and when such action is taken, the Assembly will be officially advised of the reason for such measures.

(RCI Assembly Guidelines) Many an ex-Revival Centre member can tell you stories of having to shun those who left before them and then being shunned when they themselves left. Some are even shunned by family members. One ex-member even reported being ex-communicated herself after a former member's car was seen in her driveway by a 'spying' member of the oversight.

Members will be expected to give substantial financial support to the group. This could be compulsory tithing (which is checked); signing over all their property on entering the group; coercive methods of instilling guilt on those who have not contributed; selling magazines, flowers or other goods for the group as part of their "ministry". At the same time bible-based cults may ridicule churches that take up free-will offerings by passing collection plates and/or sell literature and tapes. They usually brag that they don't do this. This gives outsiders the intimation that they are not interested in money. The Revival Centres are staunch tithers. However in fairness to them, they do not usually expect their members to contribute over and above this tithe except in some circumstances such as a fund raising drives for a new project (such as the RCI purchase of the Freshwater Creek Camp inVictoria). They do not force their members to sell books, etc. outside of the church, but there have been some reports of heavy handed tactics over money in the CAI.

There will be great emphasis on loyalty to the group and its teachings. The lives of members will be totally absorbed into the group's activities. They will have little or no time to think for themselves because of physical and emotional exhaustion. This is also a vital part of the thought control process.

In this way the Revival Centres are not as severe as groups like the Moonies or Hare Krishna. However, the RCI do expect people to attend 2 Sunday meetings, 1 weekly house meeting or mid-week meeting, weekly young people's meetings (if at an appropriate age or unmarried) and any outreaches or special events. Some Revival Centre groups have a heavier schedule again. These meetings are forced upon members and are not optional.

Unknown to most members, lower level RCI leaders even take a roll to check who is and is not in attendance. Missing members are then sometimes questioned as to why they are skipping meetings. Christmas and Easter camps are also usually compulsory unless an adequate reason for not being able to attend is given. This busy schedule leaves little time for meaningful relationships outside the group and brings members deeper into the group dynamic. There will be total control over almost all aspects of the private lives of members. This control can be direct through communal living, or constant and repetitious teaching on "how to be a true Christian" or "being obedient to leadership". Members will look to their leaders for guidance in everything they do.

The Revival Centres have a list of writtenAssembly Guidelines (i.e. RULES!) that members are expected to strictly adhere to. The preamble to the RCI list states,The following guidelines are for the protection of individuals and the assembly as a whole... ...All policies are international and are not subject to local change or variation. The list contains rules covering things such as private gatherings of members (not allowed without permission from leaders), marriage (again, permission is needed) and the repression of critical comments. The full list can be foundhere.A quick read of these rules demonstrates the invasiveness of the Revival Centres groups into the lives of their members. This behaviour by the groups undermines the individual's personal freedom and eventually their ability to make even simple decisions for themselves.

Bible-based cults may proclaim they have no clergy/laity distinction and no paid ministry class - that they are all equal. The Revival Centres members like to point the finger at the clergy/laity distinction of other churches, especially the Catholic Church, whilst claiming that their leaders are just ?normal people'. However, every single Revivalist knows that the 'oversight' are much more than ?normal members'. Members areforcedto address pastors as Pastor (e.g. Pastor Bill) and never by their first name alone and, as mentioned, have enormous power over regular members. They do pay some ministers a wage. Any dissent or questioning of the group's teachings is discouraged. Criticism in any form is seen as rebellion. There will be an emphasis on authority, unquestioning obedience and submission. This is vigilantly maintained.

Anyone who has been in the Revival Centres for even a few months knows that criticism and dissention is not tolerated in the slightest. Numerous stories have been reported by ex-members of the harsh and often emotionally damaging ways that the pastors and oversight have treated people who have crossed this line. The guidelines mentioned earlier make the Revival Centres position quite clear:

5. Members should not enter into any conversation criticising doctrines, practices or beliefs held by the assembly. Again, Pastors and Elders are ready to discuss any such problems that may arise.

10. Any case of disloyalty towards the Assembly or spreading of any discord whatsoever will be viewed as "divisionary" and dealt with severely.

24. Members must not enter into any controversy or criticisms of the beliefs or practices of other persons in other Assemblies. Any "different" teachings should be reported to the home Pastor who can communicate with other Pastors if necessary. You cannot question Revival Centre doctrine as a member.

If the Revival Centres have declared something as true then you must accept it wholeheartedly or be prepared to be 'dealt with severely'. Once the pastor or elder has discussed the matter with you then the matter is closed whether you accept their explanation or not.

Members are required to demonstrate their loyalty to the group in some way. This could be in the form of "dobbing" on fellow members (including family) under the guise of looking out for their "spiritual welfare". They may be required to deliberately lie (heavenly deception) or give up their lives by refusing some form of medical treatment.

Members of the Revival Centres are encouraged to report any violation of policy or practice by other members to the leaders immediately. This is under the guise of "caring for brothers and sisters". Husbands, wives and even children are encouraged to report on each other. We have had no reports of deliberate lying being encouraged, but I was present in a Young People's meeting where we were trained to give our public testimony. In this talk, the oversight member instructed us to leave out any undesirable information about church life such as ex-communication, people leaving to go to other churches or personal struggle with 'sin'.Attempts to leave or reveal embarrassing facts about the group may be met with threats. Some may have taken oaths of loyalty that involve their lives or have signed a "covenant" and feel threatened by this.

Refugees of the group are usually faced with confrontations by other members with coercion to get them to return to the group. Put simply, there is no good way to leave the Revival Centres. There is no valid reason to leave from the perspective of the leadership. When individuals leave they are disparaged, sometimes publicly, by leaders. Half-truths and rumours are spread amongst the members to discredit those who leave. The organisation is never at fault in minor or major parting of ways, it is always the fault of those who have left. Noel Hollins said that he parted ways with the RCI as they 'no longer wanted to follow the Lord' and Lloyd Longfield said that the 'Spirit is weak' in the Revival Fellowships. Members have reported a heavy handed approach from leaders who were attempting to deter them from leaving the group.

Conclusion

This article has not tried to manipulate the facts to make the Revival Centres fit the pattern of a destructive cult. It didn't need to. Anyone who has been involved with a Revival Centre for even a short while can testify to seeing many, if not all, of the things discussed here. Sure, not all these points will be found in every Revival Centre group. But all Revival Centre groups will have some, if not most of them, and these may vary to some degree. And pointing out these marks in other groups doesn't make the Revival Centres any less a cult. It only means there are other groups out there warranting a similar investigation. But most churches don't exhibit enough of these signs to be labelled a cult as we labelled the Revival Centres in this article.

So, is your Revival Centre a cult?

A Story of Faith ... grab your barf bag.

This is such a wonderful heart warming story about faith and how religion brings people together.

~ Dantalion Jones

Final note:  In every religion or movement people have to rely on some emotional theme. It is usually something positive like, love or peace but it can also be something neutral like surrender or awe.  What they are doing in this video is unique which is surrounding itself with an emotional theme of hate.

If you look at it objectively and without emotion (good luck) hate is just as good an emotional theme as any other for those who are 100% committed to it.  Having hate as the theme to their religion allows its followers to feel superior to everyone else... always a good feeling!

Understand the word "Theory" when talking about Ecolution

This is a wonderous little article the helps explain why rational thought is so hard and why so few religious people decide to avoid it and rely on faith.
~ Dantalion Jones

http://atheistevolution.blogspot.com/2010/07/definitions-theory.html

This is a first for me.

I am writing this episode of “Definitions” on request from a follower who recognized the very common misuse, misunderstanding, and sometimes intentional twisting of the meaning of the word “Theory”.

We are not talking about the colloquial “theory” as in “I have a few different theories about that” (educated guesses) or in the humanities as in “philosophical theories” (ideas) or political “theories” as in social “theory” or Marxist “theory” (ideologies), but empirical theory.

This is a major point to note. Scientific theories are decided by a completely different standard of evidence than the others and they are not to be conflated at the risk of, well, being completely wrong.

If you say, “It’s only a theory” about scientific theories, you would only reveal how little you understand what scientific theories really are.

Scientific theories are models for explaining the facts of reality. An important thing to remember is that for every theory there is a corresponding fact.

For example; The Theory of Gravity.

It is a fact that things fall when they are dropped under certain conditions. The theory of gravity explains that phenomenon.

OR

The Theory of Evolution.
Evolution happened. Speciation occurs.

We know this.

The theory of evolution explains this natural fact.

They all begin as hypotheses but after being put through the rigors of the scientific method, they emerge as the highest form of science.

Theorem

They are defined by the very standard of evidence that spawned them.

They are testable. As in you can verify the theory by experiment.

The test results are repeatable. As in they conform to the details of the theory every time.

These test results are predictable. As in you can predict the outcome of the experiments unfailingly

They are observable. As in they are back up by observable evidence and not hypothetical ideas.

The last and most critical thing to remember is that they NEVER FAIL.

They can not fail even once without failing to be a “theory”. Reality is constant, so too must the explanations for reality.

The moment that new evidence comes to light that does not conform to the tested theory, it ceases to be a theory and it must be tweaked to accommodate the explanation of the new evidence. If it cannot accommodate the new information, then the theory is happily thrown out the window and the scientists return to the drawing board.

This falsification is no less joyous than the verification of a theory. Each time something is proven false, scientists can cross off one more possibility and can say that they have learned one more thing about the universe.

A great example is Darwin’s original theory of evolution.

It was wrong.

Or, at the very least, not completely right.

He had no idea about how the allele was passed on from generation to generation. Natural selection was all well and good but Darwin could not explain the source of the heritable variations which would be acted on by it.

He felt that parents passed on those traits during their lifetimes.

Clearly advances in cellular biology and the discovery of DNA have brought us to a more accurate vision of evolutionary processes. But the fact remains that Darwin was wrong about how the traits were passed on. But the model itself was solid.

It still produced everything that was predicted, but now with a much more solid explanation as to why.

No one railed against the change; it was celebrated as a major breakthrough in science.

That is intellectual honesty, and the scientific method forces every scientific theory through that same grinder.

Scientists discovered new evidence. So they went back and tweaked the theory so that it was a more accurate reflection of the fact of evolution and so that it was backed by even more evidence.

Now it stands inviolate and verified in the face of all current scientific evidence and knowledge.

As does every theory.

If new evidence arises, then maybe that will change (although it is more likely a slight tweak of the theory that will be in order, rather than a wholesale change) but for now all known science backs up all accepted theories.

A theory is the highest form of science.

If you can remember that, then a lot of the “debate”, misuse, and misunderstanding will be stricken from the mouths of those who would spread them.

Testable

Repeatable

Predictable

Observable

And never fails.

When people say "it is only a theory" what they are usually trying to do is discredit the theory in question by making it sound like fly by night guesswork, or an hypothesis to which we would be silly to attach any real informational authority.

So now that you know what a "Theory" really is, I hope that you all will know how to answer when next you hear "only a theory".

So is anything in science “Only a theory”?

Sorry Creationists (the usual culprits), but the answer is....

no.

Has anyone ever considered that the Illuminati are the good guys?

This question appeared to me via an online forum and gave me some good food for thought.
~Dantalion Jones

I was just reading about Adam Weishaupt. He seemed to be a decent chap and Thomas Jefferson was inspired by him.

Has anyone ever considered that these Illumaniti people are working within TPTB to break us free?

We here all about the subliminal messages in movies, usually related to sex. Given the puritanical nature of Americans, has anyone considered that these messages seek to liberate us from the grasps of unrealistic ideas about sex? We here about the alleged "liberal media". I think the media is far from liberal and really has a tight grip on information. Could there be a faction of Illuminati journalists that are trying to get messages out to us.

We hear about the Bilderberg people that want us to be slaves, but maybe there are factions within that group that are trying to actually free us.

Maybe I am grasping at straws.

My Reply:

The Illuminati *ARE* the good guys.

This is true when you just look around and you see all the people who care only about the next meal and the next F**k.

Seriously, when you have a world of people who think that life is about follow Kim Kardasian and watching a TV "COPS" marathon, it's about time someone takes control over them.

Most people don't want to think.

Thinking and deciding is HARD work and we are programmed by our genetics to only want to eat and f**k. In fact as long as we solve the calorie problem till our next breeding we don't have to get any smarter.

Well, the Illuminati have figured it all out and realize that we have to be nudged, if not flung, into our next stage of evolution. Not all of us will make it, but that's okay because that is what evolution is all about.

Yes, the Illuminati ARE the good guys.

Sincerely,
Dantalion Jones

How to Erase Fear--in Humans

There is an exercise that Scientology uses based on this where you retell a traumatic event over and over again until you have no feelings for it. When you've completed the story the auditor says "Thank you. Begin again." and you go over it again. After about an hour or two of this you can say

To get rid of a bad memory you may need to relive it first
By Daniel Lametti

Memory”, wrote Oscar Wilde, “is the diary that we all carry about with us”. Perhaps, but if memory is like a diary, it’s one filled with torn-out pages and fabricated passages.

In January, a group of New York University neuroscientists led by Daniela Schiller reported in the journal Nature that they had created fearful memories in people and then erased them. Besides being rather cool, the result provides new insight into how to treat traumatic memories in people.

The research was based on the work of neuroscientist Joseph LeDoux, a coauthor on the paper. Ten years ago, while experimenting with rats, Ledoux made a discovery that changed the way neuroscientists view memory from that of Wilde’s tidy diary to something more along the lines of a James Frey memoir.

In that experiment, Ledoux conditioned rats to fear a bell by ringing it in time with an electric shock until the rats froze in fear at the mere sound of the bell. Then, at the moment when the fear memory was being recalled, he injected the rats with anisomycin, a drug that stops the construction of new neural connections. Remarkably, the next time he rang the bell the rats no longer froze in fear. The memory, it seemed, had vanished. Poof!

Ledoux concluded that the neural connections in which memories are stored have to be rebuilt each time a memory is recalled. And during rebuilding—or reconsolidation, as he termed it—memories can be altered or even erased. Neuroscientists now believe that reconsolidation functions to update memories with new information—something of an unsettling idea, suggesting that our memories are only as accurate as the last time they were remembered.

Since the discovery, scientists have been searching for ways to use similar methods to alter the fear memories that cause posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This, however, has proven difficult. Test subjects participating in research experiments are, of course, not lab rats, and scientists can’t simply inject them with drugs as they please. But in her new paper, Schiller and her team may have discovered a noninvasive method to bring Ledoux’s memory-erasing experiment to humans.

Psychologists have known for some time that it is difficult to treat fearful memories with therapy. Humans, like rats, can be trained in a laboratory to fear an innocuous stimulus—a sound or a color—by pairing it with a shock. But even after a form of laboratory therapy known as extinction training, where the stimulus is repeatedly presented without a shock to extinguish the fear, most subjects still show a rebound in the fear response a few hours later. Similarly, PTSD patients often show symptoms after years of therapy.

In both the laboratory and on the psychologist’s couch, trauma therapy likely fails because it simply creates new competing memories without actually altering the fear memory causing the problem. Schiller reasoned that she might be able to make extinction training—“lab therapy”—more effective by triggering reconsolidation first, allowing traumatic memories to be altered with new, less fearful information.

To do this, she created fear memories in 65 test subjects by flashing yellow and blue squares at them, pairing some of the yellow squares with a mild shock to the wrist. After conditioning, the appearance of a single yellow square was enough to raise her subjects’ skin conductivity—a fear response typically caused by an increase in sweat production.

She then divided her subjects into three groups: A third were simply given lab therapy; they repeatedly viewed yellow and blue squares without shocks until they failed to break a sweat. The rest had the fearful memory triggered first by the sight of a single yellow square, and then got lab therapy after a lag of either six hours or ten minutes. Importantly, since reconsolidation takes about ten minutes to kick in after a memory is recalled, and lasts for a couple hours, only the ten-minute group would be in the process of reconsolidating the memory at the start of lab therapy. This timing, Schiller hypothesized, was everything: the ten-minute group would actually rewrite old memories, while the others would merely create new memories.

The next day, as expected, the memory had returned in some subjects—the yellow square still caused them to sweat—but the fear response did not return in any of the subjects whom she had triggered reconsolidation in ten minutes before therapy. Just as in Ledoux’s rats, the memory had vanished. Poof!

To test how permanent the effect was, one year later, Schiller tracked down about a third of the original test subjects and got them to come back into the lab so she could again flash colored squares in their faces. The subjects that she hadn’t triggered reconsolidation in ten minutes before lab therapy still broke a sweat in the presence of the yellow square—a nice demonstration of just how hard it is to eliminate a fearful memory. But the subjects that she had triggered reconsolidation in ten minutes before therapy still didn’t break a sweat when they saw the yellow square; in these subjects, the fear memory had been permanently erased.

Schiller believes that by timing lab therapy so that it was initiated precisely when the memory was being reconsolidated—when the neural connections it was stored in were open to change—therapy did not simply create new memories, but actually rewrote the original memory with one that didn’t include a fear response.

Real life fear memories, which involve multiple senses, are much more complex than memories created by scientists in a laboratory. But the results of the experiment do make the important suggestion that in order for PTSD therapy to be effective, the traumatic memory may have to be fully remembered first. This means, of course, that if you want to overwrite a frightful mugging with a day at the beach, you may have to relive every last detail of the mugging—a reality that might make reconsolidation-based PTSD therapy rather, well, traumatic.
